Statue of Liberty moves to San Diego?

I think it's safe to say that all college football fans remember the wild showdown that occurred between Boise State and Oklahoma in the 2007 Siesta bowl. It was the first win for a non BCS conference team, and needless to say Boise State succeeded with the help of some perfectly timed trick plays. Though Boise State just missed out on a BCS game this year, they are still in a familiar position, one that is a little similar to their Fiesta Bowl game.

Boise State runs the 12th highest ranked offense in the nation, but TCU's second ranked defense could prove to be a problem for the Broncos. Leading TCU's defense is Jerry Hughes, the 6'2'' junior who currently leads the nation with 14 sacks. Hughes's presence on the field could prove to disrupt the Broncos's rolling offense, and it will be up to the Bronco's offensive line to protect Kellan Moore. It will be up to Kellan Moore to take control of the Broncos's offense, although he will have a strong supporting cast to help him out. It will be important for them to mix their offense up in order for them to be succesful. TCU has an oustanding rushing defense, so we won't be seeing a lot of action from Boise State backs Johnson and Avery.

TCU is looking very strong heading into this game. Unlike Boise State, they have consistently faced high caliber teams, with their only losses coming from #2 ranked Oklahoma and #10 ranked Utah. Boise State is 12-0 this season, but on the other hand they only played one ranked team, #17 Oregon.

So who's going to win it? In my mind I see TCU pulling off the upset in this game. TCU has the second best defense in the nation and I see them being able to hold Boise State's offense fairly easily. In order for Boise State to win they need Kellan Moore firing on all cylinders, and who knows maybe just a few trick plays in their back pocket might help.
